Windows 10: External HDF not showing up

Hi guys, so my win10 got stuck into the automatic repair loop and now i'm recovering my data from the hard drive using active boot live cd. But the problem is that when I get to the point where I have to select the location of where to recover files, my external hdd does not show up. I tried using different ports but still no hdd. I tried using a usb drive, sometimes it shows up sometimes it does not. Does this have to do something with drivers on the cd? Also external hdd is working fine as I checked it on another system.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The ScaleR library scaleR-hadoop-0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar is copied to Cloudera Parcel hadoop lib folders on all nodes.

Please help me fix this at the earliest

 

Shared external hdd not showing up

Ok, so I've found the solution. For people that don't know, in Windows 10 there's a new feature where you can go to the start menu, input Support and then it'll bring up a support chat window. You can get free customer support via that
and they can remote connect to your computer and solve the issue for you.

This is their explanation on how to fix the issue:

Here's what we did:

in control panel Control Panel(WindowsKey + X > Control Panel) -> Search Troubleshooter -> open Troubleshooting -> network and internet -> shared folders -> Follow and finish the wizard.

and then we can access the shared folder directly using the address bar
