Windows 10: External Monitor screen resolution issue looses driver

Greetings.I have two external monitors connected to my laptop. LG Monitor is connected trough a USB-C dock station to laptop. This dock has HDMI to HDMI. A third monitor tv monitor is connected trough HDMI port on laptop.Everytime laptop came from a "suspend" mode. LG Monitor looses resolution. Also, LG HDMI monitor dissapears from "manage devices" list.The three monitors laptop monitor, tv monitor, lg monitor works well UNTIL "suspend mode" activates. Sometimes LG monitor is ok after a "suspend" mode. Cant tell why is that. But mostly time 90% looses resolution. Please your help

external monitor screen resolution seems off

Hi guys,

I just updated my graphic driver for my external monitor and all of the sudden, the resolution of my 2nd monitor looks odd. The scaling is a lot bigger and the task bar at the bottom of my screen is bigger on my 2nd monitor. How do I resolve this issue?

Hi guys,

I have resolved the issue. Because I've updated to the latest graphic drivers, it only provides me fewer display resolution options and didn't have the optimal display resolution for a 24 inch monitor from the drop down list. Therefore, I rolled back to the old driver and it allowed me to pick the correct resolution from the drop down list.

All is good now. Hope this would also help others who faced the similar issue.

 

External Monitor and Laptop Monitor Screen Resolution Issue

I have a dell laptop that has 1920x1080 resolution. However, i connect it to an external monitor that has 1920x1200 resolution. Basically almost everything i do is on my external monitor which acts as my main primary screen. Thus i do sometimes open some windows or drag a window or so to the other screen like youtube etc to the laptop screen.


My issue at the moment is everything is way too big on the laptop screen. I want to have 1920x1080 resolution but its way too big. I googled what is my resolution on it and it shows 1536 x 864. Can someone tell me how to change this to 1920x1080?


My external monitor which is my main monitor is fine at the moment with the 1920x1200.

 

External Monitor with Quicken

It is possible that the display resolution automatically adjusts after connecting to an external monitor. For us to properly isolate this issue, we have some questions for you:

• Are you experiencing the same issue even without using the Quicken tool?
• Have you checked if the display resolution settings of the Surface device and the external monitor is the same?
• Have you tried checking for a graphics device driver update?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done to isolate the issue?
