Windows 10: External USB Mouse doesn't work USB device not recognized Windows 11

A few weeks ago, my external usb bluetooth mouse suddenly stopped working. Everytime i connect a mouse, windows gives notification "USB device not recognized". If I connect a usb or a mobile with the usb port it works correctly. The problem occurs only with mouse. I have tried everything including:Tried 3 different mice Both wireless and wiredUninstalling/Updating USB drivers Windows says already up to dateReverting windows updatesWindows recovery to older pointTurning off the option "Turn this device off to save power"Disabled fast StartupI didn't try anything for weeks in hopes that it m

usb device not recognized

hi all

ok when i moved my pc into a new case i am getting usb device not recognized now but the mouse work's fine in usb just nothing eles i use.



the joystick i trying to get working again is a saitek st50

it don't come with a disk and all i did before was just put it in and the pc found the driver's for me.

i looked all over the net and did try afew things already

i got SP2 and updated all the way

turn off pc and pull the plug out and leave it for afew min

hold in the power button for like 30 sec

turn the power saving thing off in the device manager on all usbs

uinstalled all usb's and restalled them

and still nothing *Frown like i said the mouse works fine in all the usb ports just not the joystick or my bluetooth device.

Notebook recognizes mouse but no other usb devices

Is it possible that the USB ports are power limited? Enough to run a mouse but not an external hard drive. I seem to recall somewhere in the device manager settings for the USB devices you can see how much power (in mA, 500mA max I think) that is being provided to the port. Or maybe there is a setting in the BIOS limiting the power to send out the USB port?

 

External HDD Error: "USB device not recognized"

I have an issue with an LaCie Rikiki external drive. As the title says, I get "USB device not recognized" error in Device manager with "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" status. The drive does not show up in Disk Management either. I have tried different USB cables on different PCs but with the same result.
