Windows 10: External USB Port Prevents Windows 11 To Do Basic Tasks

Whenever I connect my external USB port to my computer, I would experience these problems:- Certain applications won’t launch sometimes.- Windows will show infinite shutting down screen, restarting screen, Windows loading screen when turn on, welcome screen sometimes.Please Help.Thanks.

• What external device are you trying to connect to your computer?
• Have you tried connecting the external device to another port or different computer?
• Have you tried connecting a different external device to the port?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

USB port not woking in Windows 10

We understand your concern as you are unable to use the USB port, when you use the card reader simultaneously.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the make and model of the PC?
  
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC, prior to this issue?
  
• Does this issue occur with all the USB port in the PC?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform the steps (Exclude Method 1 & 2) as mentioned in this article:

USB Port Oddities


Ok, let's see it with pictures step-by-step. First right-click on the USB device and select Update driver software:





Then select Browse my computer for driver software (LAST option) :





The select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer (LAST option) :





Then select the standard driver from the list and click next:





Click next/OK as required to complete installation. Repeat the steps for all Intel USB devices. Finally click on each USB root device and press DEL to delete it, reply YES when asked. After deleting all USB root devices restart the computer.
