Windows 10: External USB-SSD drive not accessible

Hi,I have an SSD disk 2.5" size. I have been using it as an external harddrive for a while. There are important data on it.I have not been using it for a while, After latest access to that SSD I have reinstalled my OS to my computer, I am not sure if this is related to my issue.Yesterday when I plug it, On windows file browser it appeared as a Media drive. When I check with disk manager, I see it as unformatten drive a blank black disk.With diskpart, it is appear to be a disk without a letter as it is on file browser and seems empty but it is not.With some free data recovery tools I can access

As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest you to follow the steps below:

• Go to Device Manager.
• Click on USB Mass Storage.
• Right click on your USB, and then click on Update Driver Software.
• Once done, check if you can access your external drives.

external SSD USB drive

hello community;

I have a NEW Dell desktop PC, my OS is windows 10 pro.

I have an SSD USB external drive for my backup PC generated important files.

Recently when I was about to access the external drive an error box opened in the bottom right corner of my screen which reads as follows;

Auto Play Local Disk ( F: )

There's a problem with this drive, scan the drive and fix it.

Not knowing what " SCAN THE DRIVE AND FIX IT " means and how to do the scan process, I did not want to mess u up my PC or the external drive so I am asking the community for the procedure and if the scan could present me with any unwanted other problem.
