Windows 10: Externally reopened thread. "Change Beep when keys are pressed or accepted"

I'm going to start by mentioning that this was someone else's conversation, and that they closed any conversation through a setting. I copied the topic and put it above. They said the click you get when a key is pressed isn't satisfactory, and I agree. I searched everywhere but couldn't find it. Let's continue the conversation where they left off after giving up, not to belittle them. Giving up can be the only option at times. One way I can think of that would allow one to change the click, probably to the ire of Microsoft, would be too root the device.

Change Beep when keys are pressed or accepted

Hi everybody,

I want to know; if there is a way to change a sound, beep, that win 10 plays when this option is enable.

Path:

Control Panel\Ease of Access\Ease of Access Center\Set up Filter Keys

Other settings

• Beep when keys are pressed or accepted.

I don't like that beep, I want another one and it would be great if the user can change it.

Key press beeps go funny if a key is held down (E71)

Hi everyone,



Has anyone else noticed that the beeps produced by pressing a key go a bit funny if a key is held down for a few seconds to make it beep repidly?

If I'm scrolling down a long list of files, the key beeps change to what is almost a double beep, then if I do it again theres a click and it all goes back to normal.

I don't think this is a hardware fault, as its never been dropped, has done this since day one, and only happens if I hold a key down as opposed to pressing it quickly.

Anyone else noticed this?

External drive beeping not recognized

We understand your concern as you are unable to connect the 3TB external drive to your Dell PC. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the model number of the Dell PC?
• What is the model number of the Toshiba hard drive?
• When you say beeps, are you getting continues beep or specific number of beeps?
• Does the external drive detects on a different PC?
• Did you try any other USB flash drive/external drive on this PC?
• Does the external drive shows up in disk management? (Press
  Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Disk management option)

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform the methods as referred in the below article (Do not try method 2: Install hotfix)
and let us know the outcome of the methods.
