  2. Computer Extreme Slowdown After Motherboard Replacement

Recently my motherboard died and I had to get it replaced. I took it to a repair shop and had it done, but since getting it back it has been running much more slowly, programs that ordinarily start up with Windows don't anymore, and now I can't even play games on it anymore without extreme slowness and the games crashing or logging out. As well, I can no longer run games and YouTube simultaneously.

    Prior to Motherboard Replacement:

    CPU: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor (3515.55 MHz)
    Memory: 24557 MB
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit (Build 19045)
    Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
    Windows Graphics Driver Version: 31.0.15.4633
    OpenGL Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 546.33

    After Motherboard Replacement:

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz (3192.75 MHz)
    Memory: 8138 MB
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit (Build 19045)
    Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
    Windows Graphics Driver Version: 31.0.15.5161
    OpenGL Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 551.61

Note the extreme reduction in memory compared to my previous motherboard. I'm told this is a common occurrence and that short of doing a clean installation or cloning my C: drive, there's nothing to be done. I've tried making a backup of my C: drive to an external storage drive, but keep getting errors that prevent the creation of a backup. All I want is for my computer to run like it used to without my having to do a whole new install of Windows. I spent the bulk of my money getting the motherboard replaced, so further repairs are out of the question for the foreseeable future. Can anyone please advise as to what I can or should do?
