Windows 10: Extremely low SSD speeds being hogged by "system" in TskMgr

my boot times into windows have not changed, however once i open windows, my pc becomes extrmeley slow. when i check task manager, it says 50% disk usage one of my ssd is empty, so is essentially 100% but is around 1 or 2 mbs. This happened after i was running a CrystalDiskMark with 64 GiB foo. the benchmark got interupted by a power loss human error and when i booted back into windows everything was really slow. I first thought maybe windows was corrupted but now i think the ssd benchmark has broken something. is there a way to fix this?Trouble shooting steps i have triedism repair, res

Low read speed via USB 3.0 external SSD

Why is my external SSD have quite low read speeds when loading a video game? I watch in task manager, reading speed is terrible and game loading takes forever. My motherboard supports 3.0 USB and ssd plugged into that port. I also enabled "better performance" via device manager > discs policy. I use Windows 10 20H2

My ssd also have latest firmware from ssd manager software.
