    EXTREMELY SLOW boot time

So, when I try to start my PC, it takes about an hour. Then I tried to go to recovery options I disabled windows RE, so I have to boot up from my installation media. When I boot from my windows installation DVD, it hangs up at the purple background, and wouldn't show the window. It is just the purple background and nothing else. I have a windows 10 DVD, and I tried booting from that, but the same thing happens. My laptop is a 2017 dell inspiron 15 inch, which I believe has a 7th gen intel i5 with kaby lake graphics. Also, it has 8 gb RAM, 256 gb M.2 PCIe SSD, and a 1TB SATA HDD.

I would recommend the following actions:

Selectively uninstall any HP bloatware you don't want or need.

Disable all non-essential services (for a test). Here's how:

    Go to Start> Run> (type) msconfig.exe

A new window opens. Select the Services tab:

Now, tic the box to hide all MS services:

Now review the non-MS services that remain.

From here you can start to disable services and reboot periodically to see if there is any improvement.
(You can always re-enable them if an issues arises)

However, in the end, you may end up leaving many of them permanently disabled.

    Hope this helps,

    Slow Boot time

Downloaded BootRacer as my Boot time was extremely slow.

Over the past few days the Boot times have changed from around 49.578 secs to 329.593 secs despite cleaning C drive of Temp files, Disk cleaning, emptied recycle bin.

Every time I try to make PC run faster, it has the opposite effect.

Running Windows 10 Home, still have over half C drive space free,

Need help to quicken my PC
