  1. Extremely slow File Transfer in Windows 11 to USB Memory stick

A search about this with Google, shows that a lot of people experience this - but is Microsoft taking it serious and do something about it I don't think so?Right now I am sitting in front of my Desktop computer and wants to copy a one! file from my Western Digital Black SN850 NVMe SSD M.2 PS5 2TB. M.2, PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe to my USB 3.2 128Gb memory stick. The USB port on my computer is also ver. 3.2. The file has a size of 2,3Gb. Until now it has taken 17 minutes, and it is copying with a 'speed' of 355 kb/sec. - and tells me it will take another 3 hours! And all in a sudden, it speeds up

    :)

    USB memory stick issues

No Megahertz I did not. I tried using HPUSBDISK, it would not work when installed in the PC, but it did work in the laptop. The USB stick still works perfectly in the laptop, but I cannot transfer or delete files from it in the PC. In the PC disk manager lists it as being valid and working properly, and in File Explorer it exists and I can see the files that it contains, and finally in Device manager it is also listed as working properly. In Disc manager I have deleted it, rebooted, and allowed Windows to detect and reinstall drivers with no change. Any other USB memory stick that I have works fine, using the same USB port in the PC.

So that is my progress, none.

    thanks

  3. Transfer of photos from pc to memory stick with windows 10

    Hello Chrisnan,

As you are facing issues with transferring the photos to memory stick on your device, we will help you with this issue.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

    • Have you connected the memory stick to your computer (confirm to us)?
    • Were you able to detect the memory stick on your computer (File Explorer)?

I would like to inform that to transfer the photos to memory stick, connect the device to the computer, make sure it is detected and able to access it.

Select the photos you wish to transfer, right click on those, you will find
    Send to
option, over the mouse on top of it to find the devices to transfer the photos.

If the device is not detected, try to connect to different ports (if accessing via USB ports). This will let us know if the issue is with ports on your computer.

Also, try to connect the memory stick to different computer and check if it is working fine. This will let us know if the issue is with the memory stick.

Hope it helps. Try the above and update us the status with transferring the photos for further assistance.

    Thank you.

Installing windows off of a USB stick

    Step By Step from vista:
    From admin cmd prompt

    1. diskpart
    1a. list disk
    2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    3. clean
    4. create partition primary
    5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    6. active
    7. format fs=fat32
    8. assign
    9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk
