Windows 10: F drive isn't working

My F drive isn't working. I can't access it from my card reader or the card slot in my computer. Here's the error I get:
Location is not available
F:\ is unavilable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted.

I tried reassigning a new drive letter, but the computer won't let me. I also disabled and then enabled the drive to no avail.

Drive D doesn't appear

After installing Windows 10, my drive D isn't recognized. I looked in Device Manager. C, E, F, G, H and I are all there, but no Drive D. Anything????

Hi, thanks for the response. I've been unable to take a screenshot - the instructions are for Windows 8 - are they different for 10?

However, a grey oblong box appears in the bottom right of the screen and says: "Richard's F drive: There is a problem with this drive. Scan the drive now to fix it".

However I cannot locate the drive and unsure what action to take.
