Windows 10: F Drive Locked, Not able to access 938GB on my hard drive

Dear All,


I am stuck on this since a week now and finally asking for some help to this knowledgeable community.

So here is my case.

My F:\ Drive was locked by BitLocker, which asks 48 digit unlock code. I remember i never set a Bitlocker to this drive. I logged in my MS account to check if a key was generated but NO key was found. So after looking over the internet for a week and no help avail i decided to format my laptop unfortunately that also didn't help.



Can anyone help me to access this F:\ please. the drive looks likes this.


PS:- 1 I tried Disk Management tool which didnt work.

2 Tried formatting via CMD which also didnt work.

• shutdown
• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD
• restarted

Most of the time, when your external hard drive shows that error message, it suggests that you don’t have the privilege of accessing to the disk partition. We need to get a permit to take ownership of the drive. Follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
  
• Right-click your hard drive, then select Properties.
  
• Go to Security tab.
  
• Click Advanced, then select Edit.
  
• On the Owner tab, modify the ownership of the specified account.
  
• Click Apply, then OK.

Based on the information you have provided in your post; we need to do further investigation. To assist you better, we'd like to know the following:

• Have you tried using a third party software to manage the disk partition?
• Did you format the drive?

We suggest that you check for the drive in the Disk Management and look if it appears. Follow these steps:

• Log on as administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
• Press Windows+R key and type diskmgmt.msc and then click OK.

Look if the Drive F: appears and check if it is unallocated.
