Windows 10: F1-F12 keys not working as should

I know this exact question was asked previously several years ago, but I have further need of help. I have the Asus Vivobook, have had it for about going on 7 months, and the f keys have always worked without me needing to press the Fn key. But, after two of my teens have been using it recently, they no longer work without me first having to use the Fn key, and they can't pinpoint what they did as far as they say, they didn't do anything or mess with any settings and I'd like to get my computer back to functioning how it should.
