    f6 mute button doesn't light up after Windows updates


    Simple fix, needs to be done after most updates:


    Open Device Manager > Sound Video and Game Controllers

    Right click on Realtek High Definition Audi

    Disable device, YES

    Enable device


    Works for me everytime.

    F6 mute button light not working after latest Windows update

    Hi, I have a HP laptop and the F6 mute button light is no longer working after the latest Windows 10 update. (its just the light, the mute function still works) Hp have no idea how to fix it. I have the latest audio driver. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Volume Mute Light won´t change color

    Before I follow your suggestions, a quick update: as the updating didn´t seem to work I stopped trying and just left it alone for awhile. About a half hour later I looked over and saw that the mute light was now blue. I tried the button but it and the volume buttons did not work at all. On the screen I was told that I needed to reboot, which I did and now the system has returned back to the way it was before: everything works except that the mute light does not change to blue as it should when the speakers are not muted. WTF?

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you, Thank you so much for your valuable question please, First of all I would suggest you to reinstall the audio drivers and see if it helps,
