Windows 10: Face & Fingerprint Sign in Not available

Hello. I reset my computer due to having some issues, and had face and fingerprint login setup. After reset, those otions are said to be not available, as "no compatible devices are found". I have a 2024 HP Spectre.

Windows Hello/Fingerprint sign-in

Why has Microsoft not made the Hello sign in with fingerprint and face available to certain devices?

I have a HP Elite X2 1012 G2 and it does have a fingerprint scanner as well as a front and rare facing camera but the Hello sign in option is not available for my device, i see an error message in the Windows Hello sign in option saying my device does not meet the minimum requirement for it to work well on my device. My question is this, what is the point of having a fingerprint scanner on the device if software updates are not going to cover for the feature to be useful to a user. It actually defeats the purpose of having a fingerprint scanner on the device.

I think Microsoft should look into this and try to accommodate older devices so that users can also enjoy certain features available to other devices.
