Windows 10: Face id and Pin is not working -cannot login to windows 11

Hi, I am using windows 11 home, my face id and pin are not workingit used to work fine before recent updates and if i try to go with setup pin option, it requires internet, and my internet today is not working due to winter freeze in Dallas. How do I login to my newly bought windows surface laptop 5. ? Can someone please advise. !

my face id login was working but now will not allow me to login .

the computer says it cant find the camera compatible and cant open the camera . annoying as it's a good way to login

how do i fix this please?

 

face recognition and PIN login problem

I have a brand new Microsoft Surface Laptop running Windows 10. After the initial startup and setting of a new PIN and face recognition the it automatically updated. On attempting to login face recognition attempted to engage and login several times until
that locked as a sign in option. The next logical step is the PIN, but the message on the start screen reads "Your PIN no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. You can setup your PIN again by going to Settings\ Accounts\
Sign-in options."

This obviously is not accessible as the PIN appears to have been disabled after the update. How do I login to the laptop without a PIN or facial recognition? There is notan option available to reset PIN or password. And, how do I avoid this conundrum in
the future.

Windows 11 login requires PIN but resetting PIN doesn’t work

My computer it currently running windows 11. I usually sign in to my computer with touch ID, but for some reason it didn’t work yesterday and it’s now saying that my PIN is required. I don’t remember what my PIN is though, or if I even have a PIN set up. However, when I go to “I forgot my PIN” after singing in and verifying my identity and everything and confirming I’d like to reset my PIN it just says that “Something went wrong.” It says that they were unable to set up my PIN and I could skip this step and set it up later but it just brings me back to the login screen. I’ve even tried to make a new Microsoft account and it does the same thing. I’m completely locked out of my computer.
