Windows 10: Facebook Messenger Download

Hi,

So I have been trying to download Facebook Messenger on my Windows 10 Microsoft App Store,

and everytime I click install, it says "Try again. There's a problem on our end. Waiting a bit might help."



Also, I want to let you know that this is a school laptop, and I cannot access the run option, or do the Windows + R action.

And I cannot do the command prompt, because students can use this to hack the computer I would know and so they disabled it.

I cannot troubleshoot either, because they disabled that too. But I can install Facebook Messenger, but that error keeps popping up.


I HAVE:

• Cleared the Microsoft Store Cache
• Signed out then back in
• Updated Microsoft Store

I am now completely hopeless.

If anyone,ANYONE, can help me solve this problem, I will be eternally grateful.

I have seen that other people have had this problem, but the solutions listed to their problem I have tried but do not work for me.

Please help. I have enclosed a screenshot of the thing that comes up as well as the installation screen.

I want to remove Facebook Messenger

You're quite right about the version. I'm out to kill the Facebook Messenger. Thought that possibly removing the Windows app might help, but it doesn't. Will look into the URL you suggested above. Thanks!

 

Microsoft store keeps failing to download Facebook Messenger

Three of your four suggestions have been tried in vain - only the 'firewall not blocking store' has not been tried for lack of instructions.
I have researched this extensively. Somewhere, I got the idea that there should be a \windows\winstore\ folder. I have been unable to 'put that back'.
When I enter Facebook Messenger into Store's SEARCH box, I get 46 results. When I click on the one called MESSENGER
it starts downloading, then produces an error message : I have attached a shot of what I got just now, but 'often' it would start, then end in an error, quoting a code that I can not NOW produce.

By the end of March, we will be ending support for messaging on the following older mobile app versions:
