Windows 10: Factory resetting windows - My computer is stuck on 99% for 2 days

Hi all, I am just about to sell my old laptop tomorrow (it's a Dell XPS 9560) so I am trying to reset Windows to a clean install, I did the method described everywhere in Google while choosing delete everything. (for example here from PCmag website): https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-factory-reset-windows-10

However, for already 2 days the computer is stuck on this screen in the attached picture. (translation from Dutch "this computer is resetting")

Would appreciate any help on how to successfully finish this re-install, hopefully without having to go to a technician because we are in full lockdown and that would be a problem...

Laptop factory reset stuck at 99%

I am having the same issue with my laptop. I'm doing a full factory reset and the screen has said 99% for over 5 hours. I had 600g of data split across 2 drives. Is this normal for it to take this long on the last percent ? I know I should just be patient,
in scared to turn the computer off and back on because I don't won't to lose all progress and in turn have to do this again. Any other suggestions ? Or should I just stick it out for another day and night and just see what happens. Let me know what you think.

 

Windows 10 factory reset stuck at 99%

I decided to perform a complete factory reset (remove all files and data) on my laptop running Windows 10 as the performance was low. It has been 24 hours and it is still stuck at 99%. I want to ask if this is normal when performing factory reset. Should
I wait more or restart?

Laptop specs-

Make- Lenovo Z50-70

Intel i5-4210U 1.7GHz

4GB RAM

1 TB HDD

Windows 10 OS

Windows update stuck at 99%


Hi
I just did a system reset (and formatted the disk that had windows on it), after starting everything was okay until i ran windows update - it showed that there are a few updates, it downloads all of them except the last one - "Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. driver update for AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series." - it has been stuck at "Downloading updates 99%" for at least 2 hours now, and restarting the computer doesn't help. It's worthy to note that my AMD driver is already installed and up to date!

I am now running an sfc scan and i will update this post as soon as it is done.
Until then - do you have any other suggestions?
update: it found corrupt files and fixed them but still gets stuck at 99%.
