  1. Factory restore problem

Hi, I'm trying to make a hard reset on my windows tablet. It's a Spring 8, by Hexa. I have chosen the option in the menu, but now when I turn it on, after the HEXA logo appears on screen, all I get is a black screen, for hours. When I touch this screen, something like a mouse cursor appears where I touch, but that's all. What do I need to do to get this tablet working again?

    :)

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

    Windows 10 factory restore problem

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

Sorry for the problems that you are facing.

Factory restore on the tablet will have the image of the operating system that came with it. So, when you performed factory restore it was back to Windows 8.1.

But activation should not have been an issue in this case.

    • Do you have the product key for the same?
    • Did you try activating?

If you don't have the product key then Asus should be helpful in getting Windows activated again or the product key. Once done, try updating Windows and see if this helps.

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
