Windows 10: Fail to prepare Windows 10 custom image.

Hello everyone. I am new to working with Windows, and I am trying to learn how to set up custom images in order to make the configuration process a little more streamlined.I followed this Microsoft guide that seems to be exactly what I am looking for, and everything works great up until the next step, when I try to actually boot the image and install it. After I choose the region and the language, the installer simply states that it "cannot find any windows images."I've followed the instructions exactly from this guide 3 separate times, with the same results:https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/w

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Customize Windows 10 Image in Audit Mode with Sysprep  


A bit more information about today's live event:

• We will set up a technician machine to install Windows, customize it and install software. I will use a Hyper-V virtual machine for this but everything done can be done on a real physical machine or any other virtualization software as well
• When done, we will use Windows System Preparation Tool (Sysprep) to create a customized Windows image
• We will capture the image (create a system image)
• We will then deploy (install) Windows to other machines using our customized image
