    Hi folks.
    Seem to have 1 rogue computer -- installs fine on another identical (or identical as far as I can see - but who knows with "unbranded chips" these days in Mobos etc. Note it's UK copy so date is in format dd/mm/yy
    Trying to install latest Insider preview copy 17730rs5


    Fail (tried 3 times) to install build 17730rs5 Can I get the iso [​IMG]



    Any idea where I can download an ISO of this build and go for clean install

    I can get 177127 and attempt to but I don't want to do that and update if I can get the latest straight away

    I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

    At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
    Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

    If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

    Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

    I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

    How to go about building a tri-boot system?

    i dual boot all the time, and going in to tri boot is easy.

    step 1) partition the drive in to 3 partitions ( leaving 1 empty for the linux installer. )
    step 2) install windows on the first 2 partitions.
    step 3) install linux, and let it auto partition the remaining space. ( i recommend at least 30gb of space for linux, because it will make things a lot easier. )

    step 4) enjoy.
