Windows 10: Failed platform function: end page

I recently encountered this error message. It all stems from a font that the printer does not recognize. I had been using this in multiple versions of Wordperfect for years without troubles. I had recently installed version 18 and it was working fine. however, suddenly I began getting this error and no printing. I had been using the same printer (a Xerox Phaser 4500) without any problems using the same font. I simply assumed that something had changed in WP 18. I literally spent 8 or 10 hours with tech support at Corel both text and online with absolutely no progress (it took me approximately 4 hours of texting before I could even get to somewhat online). I even bought a new HP laser which worked fine with everything but Wordperfect. Corel's technical support kept insisting that their program was working fine and it was the printers fault. I went to an outside technical support who works with me for an additional 4 hours trying all kinds of things including download loads, default modifications, registry editing, and then finally came up with the solution. I was using a Bookman Old Style Std which is a standard font but it simply would not be recognized by the printer. All we had to do was to change the font of the documents to Times Roman or Courier and everything printed wonderfully. I still have to investigate. I believe there is a command for "downloading Fonts to printer", but I suspect that is what got lost. In either case, simply change the font and your problem should be self and you will avoid having to suffer my 20 hours of aggravation for this Stupid error message. do not waste her time with Corel technical support. They are worthless!

Bitlocker and Trusted Platform Module problems

This issue usually occurs because the Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
uses the manufacturer driver and not the Windows built-in Trusted Platform Module driver.

To resolve this, you can manually uninstall and reinstall Trusted Platform Module. To do so, see the steps below:

• Open Device Manager on the device on which you are experiencing the issue
• Uninstall the Trusted Platform Module driver.

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.


First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".
