Windows 10: Failed to add cups shared printers to windows 11.

I set up a cups printer server on a Linux device to which an HP printer is attached. I can see the printer in the list new list, but it failed when I clicked add device. Looking in the EventViewer I see two errors repeated many times for each instance:First error:- - - User Interaction Required while trying to get a token silently. ErrorCode: 0xcaa10001, Error: Need user interaction to continue. mcpmanagementservice.dll Second error:- - &

RPC configuration for network shared printer Windows 11 23H2

Hi,

I am referring to the post at Windows 11 Error message 0x00000709 when trying to install shared - Microsoft Community . For solution given by Ramesh Srinivasan below:

I need clarification for the given steps from the link above that is this need to be configured for both PC which are PC that

• direct connect to the printer via USB and share the printer,
  
• and PC that wants to connect to that printer ?

Step 1: Go to store.
Step 2: Buy a less shitty printer.
Step 3: Pick up some beer while you are there.
Step 4: Enjoy both your new printer and your beer.

In all seriousness, I have had more issues with Lexmark printers and their shitty drivers then any other manufacturer, HP is a close second though.

However, if you don't want to get a new printer*Laugh :laugh:, and I can understand that, when my Lexmark was giving me the same troubles in Win7(and Vista) I had to make sure the Windows firewall was ON and the firewall service was enabled and running. After I shared it I could re-disable the firewall and firewall services.

Yeah, I have windows firewall disabled, and I don't use any other firewall... mostly to prevent stupid issues like this.
