Windows 10: Failed to decompress the archive

I am trying to install a Epson ET2710 printer , my printer shows it is connected to the Internet but my PC with Windows 10 keeps giving me the error message Failed to decompress the archive. I have loaded Winzip and ran it through the administrator but still the same message appears. I have no idea where to go now or even what that means\?any help appreciated please before I return this printer to the shop but PLEASE in simple idiot proof English I am not IT literate

I try to install epson xp257 and only get failed to decompress the archives. According to epson, they have no problem with the file, it is a common problem with windows 10. How do I solve it.

Since the error message is referring to "Failed to Decompress the Archive", it maybe referring to the winzip file that you have downloaded. That said,
we suggest that you run the winzip file as administrator and see if it'll make a difference.
Right-click on the file, and choose Run as Administrator. We also suggest that you provide us a screenshot of the error message and the winzip file that you've downloaded. It's for us to identify as well what could be the next step/s that we
can do.

Good day! I apologize that you are having this issue and I am hoping we can work through it and fix it.

1. Right click on whatever file you downloaded and click "run as administrator" on the file to correct decompress the archive.

2. A solution was found where you need to go into device manager > view > show hidden devices

Go to your printer in device manager and completely uninstall any trace of the epson xp257 in your device manager. Try to print something after this to see if it works.
