Windows 10: Failed to disable Peek Preview in Windows 11

Hi, everyone!To implement some custom fetatures I need to disable peek preview for the window. So I call DwmSetWindowAttribute with DWMWA_DISALLOW_PEEK set to True to disallow peek preview. It works well in Win7 and Win10 but in my newest Win11 machine, it sill shows peek preview when the mouse hovers over the window's thumbnail in the taskbar.And I use a demo from VS2019 to reproduce this bug and still it works well in Win7 and Win10.I also read the SDK document and I don't find changes relevant to this behavior. And I misuse this interface? If you know the right

That's a 90% fix.

I followed the instructions and used the option to:

"type 0 (zero) it will effectively disable taskbar thumbnail previews,
and only show in list mode."

This works, but only if there is more than one instance of an item open. So if I have only one Explorer window open the peek preview will still be thumbnail. As soon as I open a second or more Explorer
window the preview peek switches to List. Same behavior for single to multiple instances of any other program in the taskbar - It's Thumbnail for one instance, List for multiple.

So when setting the Decimal value is set to 0, it acts like Threshold value 1.

I'm using Win 10 Pro. I'm wondering if there is an equivalent way to do this using Group Policy Editor, or is it just thorugh regedit?

Windows 10 Peek won't show preview for multiple of the same application

Hello

Up until 2 weeks ago Windows Peek was working fine, I could see preview for all the different instances open for an application (for example multiple browser windows, or explorer). But now I can only see previews if there's only one instance running. If
there's multiple then it changes to a list style showing only the title of the specific window.

Is there any way to fix this? I tried turning Peek off and on but it doesn't seem to resolve it.

Let’s turn off the Peek option and check. Follow the below step.

• 
  Right click on the Windows task bar and click on Properties.
  
• 
  Uncheck the option Use Peek to preview the desktop when you move your mouse to the Sow desktop button at the end of the taskbar.
  
• 
  Now click on Apply and click on
  OK.
