Windows 10: failed to install KB 4487020 and delta 4487020 for windows 10 1703 build

hi team,


I am trying to install the KB4487020 and it keeps on failing, is there any pre re-requisite or need to uninstall before i can install this.


i am using WIndows 10 Pro 1703.

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Repeated Windows Update Failed to install KB4022725 - Windows 10 1703

No, you cannot Re-install drivers as you say. But you can uninstall the devices, including the check box for drivers. Power down system. Wait a couple of minutes. Power back up, and Windows will see the devices and re-install them, with fresh downloaded drivers.

• uninstall all those Hid compliant ones first
• uninstall PC/AT keyboard
• uninstall ELAN Input device

At that point, you are pretty much dead as far as inputting anything, except On-Screen KB.

Power off, wait a few, power on. And let it reinstall the KB and Mouse. Not much to lose, doesn't work anyway.
