Windows 10: Failed Windows install - Windows 11 Insider Preview 22581.200 ni_release Error 0xc1900101

Attempted to install the Insider Preview 22581.200.- Went to 100% - rebooted- Went to 30% - rebooted- At 48% the screen turned black for a few minutes then rebooted.- At 75% - Bug Check.I ran Troubleshooting on Windows Update but there was no apparent fix.I attempted the install again with the same result. The error code is 0xc1900101 and the bug check error was APC_INDEX_MISMATCH.My drivers are up to date.I ran sfc /scannow and DISM - nothing corrupt.I even reinstalled Windows only to receive the same error code and bug check. Is there a fix that doesn't involve a complete wipe and reinstall

• Which Intel drivers are you referring to?
• Are you referring to Intel drivers deployed through Windows Updates?
• Did you get any error message when they fail?

From your description, I suspect that the problem might be due to unsuccessful installation of preview build caused this issue. Suggest you to check installing the build again to see if the same thing happens again. If you don't see the

Update to Windows Insider Preview 20236 failing with error 0xC1900101-0x40017

I've tried to update several times my windows installation to Insiders Preview 20236.

However, installation rolls back after first reboot, with the following error code (from SetupDiag)

Error: SetupDiag reports rollback failure found.

Last Phase = Post First Boot

Last Operation = Ensure suspended services are stopped

Error = 0xC1900101-0x40017

I've uninstalled all unsigned/third party drivers with pnputil and disabled all non-microsoft services (clean boot), but setup keeps failing with the same error.
