Windows 10: Failing HD , best/quickest way to transfer over 1TB of files to new drive

I have 3 HD , 1 is SSD on my board , 250gb , I use this strictly for Windows 10 and the minimal programs that require to be on the Windows drive Next is a 2TB SATA drive I put ALL my "Programs" on Next is another 2TB SATA drive I put ALL "My Documents" on ..... The drive for My Documents is failing , I had to remove it from the system to get it to not lock up , after sitting for a day , I plugged it back in and it seems to be functioning and I can access everything without it locking up like it was .... However , I have no idea how long it will last while plugged in , I used a program

Seeking an easy way formatting a new 4TB HD

I'm not prepared transferring the data files in the Linux storage drive, say Storage-HD#1, ext4 format, to Win10.

I'm interested learning how to transfer all data files in Storage-HD#1 to the new 4TB HD, say Storage-HD#2, NTFS format, on Win10 running Command Prompt.


In Linux world it is very easy to do it on Terminal;

$ cp /path/to/Storage-HD#1/* /path/to/Storage-HD#2

That is all.

On Linux OS Terminal;

I have tried copying several folders/directories with following command:-

$ cp /path/to/Storage-HD#1/folder#1/ /path/to/Storage-HD#2/

I can be read the folders in Win10, Linux, Win10VM, LinuxVM. Their files can be edited.


The device used by me for sharing data files is Hard Disk Docking. Please refer to attached photo

Need Help Files Transfer

I have a computer running Windows XP Home Edition. That computer has two internal HDDs:

The 1st HDD is C:\ that running Windows. And it has 20GB total of capacity.
The 2nd HDD is D:\ that is empty. And it has 90GB total of capacity.

The C:\ drive is almost run out of space (full). Is there a way I can transfer everything in the C:\ drive to the D:\ drive and begin to use the D:\ drive from there on as primary drive?
Can the Windows Files Transfer feature in XP transfer everything I have in C:\ to D:\? If it cannot, then which way can I use to perform the above step?

Quickest way to copy files

I have an ext. HD that is on it's last legs, I need to copy all the files onto a new ext. HD. Is there any faster way than Windows Explorer?

It's about 1TB with about 2000 files.

I'm on Windows 10, 22H2, .3086
