Windows 10: Failing to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 0x8007042b-0x4000d Error

Hi,So in the company we're currently migrating to Windows 11 and some clients are failing to migrate with the error 0x8007042b-0x4000d. I found this error in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\setupdiag\results. I checked logs in C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources but couldn't find anything useful to find the root cause. I tried already basic troubleshooting like updating drivers and bios, sfc /scannow, dism repairs, Windows updates... So it would be great if you could suggest something more advanced. Windows 10 upgrade 1909 to 2004 failed with error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D

So, I still get the same error message after the rollback: Error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation

performed the following:

1. all windows features turned off (as advised above)
2. clean boot per How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support
3. attempted the upgrade using media creation tool

Error code 0x8007042B - 0x4000D

Hi, I'd need your help.

I've tried to upgrade my current Win 7 Pro-version into Win 10 Pro-version, but the error code appeared in the final stage of the installing every time:

Error code 0x8007042B - 0x4000D
The installation failed in the stage SECOND_BOOT because the error took place during the function MIGRATE_DATA

In the control panel, Windows Update-section has been called as error code 0x8007042B - 2000D and there weren't any solution for this error in the guidelines .

I ran the sfc /scannow in the cmd and there weren't any defragmentations.

How could I get this error code fixed ?

My goal is to preserve all my music making plugins & files as they are in Win 7, so I'd like to keep some of my old files (Program files/Vstplugins, Program files (x86)/Vstplugins etc.) from Win7 to Win 10.

To fix error 0x8007042B – 0x4000D with this tool, follow these steps:

From the Start Menu, go to Settings.

Now navigate to the Update and Security section.

On the left panel, select the Troubleshoot option.

Now select Windows Update from the available options and click Run the troubleshooter button.
