This recent update fails on all my arm64 Win 11 Pro devices. The symptoms are that it downloads and appears to install OK, but during the multiple reboots each device shows the same sequence of "Diagnosing your PC", "Attempting Repairs" then "Something didn't go as planned. No need to worry-undoing changes." The devices then boot OK but with an update error message of "0x800f0845" [screen shots at bottom of post]I've used both SFC and DISM and there's nothing wrong with the system files.I have reported the issue to Microsoft.To be honest I don't really care about the feature update faili

2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 (KB5037771) causes windows update to crash upon checking for updates (dmp included) 0x80004003

FYI preview update 2024-05 (KB5037853) does not fix the problem.

2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037771) absolutely refuses to install. What is happening is that it will do the Updating, then my PC restarts then "Something has gone wrong and we have to undo it" pops up. at 6%. I go back to updater and find error code 0x80070002.

The new update today 2024-05 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037853) also fails to update, giving the same code.

I have tried:

Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Make sure Windows Update and Background Intelligent Transfer services are available and running.

Please try to run SFC and DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files

Reset Windows Update Components

An In-place Upgrade. I get an error code saying it fails to mount.

I tried downloading and installing the update as a stand alone update instead. Same outcome

I have also tried:

1. Download Windows 11 ISO

2. Under Download ISO file, select Windows 11.

3. Click Download and choose the Language in which Windows is installed.

4. Click 64-bit Download to start the download.

5. When downloaded, open the ISO file, and run Setup.exe to start the upgrade.

I don't get the option to open the file.

I have checked the following on the PC



Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting

Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade
