Windows 10: Fails to find boot drive by itself

Installed a new M.2 SSD today. I used a software called Acronis that transfered all data from my old C drive to the new M.2 disk and after a quick reboot and telling the bios to boot from the new drive, everything worked like a charm.I then plugged the old C drive back in to format it and then the problem started. It then got stuck on the bios boot trying to repair while then kicking me to the blue menu where you can choose to fix windows or reinstall and everything I hope that it gets across what I'm talking about here. Trying to continue to windows just reboots the PC and the it loops like

Can't boot from DVD drive

Is your controller in RAID/AHCI modes? If so, the DVD drive will be listed as a separate device in the list of available boot devices, not as "CDROM". Remember that when setting boot device priority. Otherwise, read the manual to see which hotkey during POST brings up the boot menu that lets you select which device to boot from. Even here, the drive will be listed separately, and not as "CDROM".

 

No Boot, Drives Not detected, Can't Load Win10 Pleses Help!

Until the BIOS sees your M.2, there's nothing you can do. It does not matter if the M.2 is unformatted/unallocated, the BIOS should see it.

1. Suggest that you take the M.2 out, clean all the contacts and re-seat it and hope this is the case.
2. If step one fails. Connect your 250GB SSD back in using one of the SATA port to see if the BIOS recognize it. If it doen't, then it might be something wrong with the MB, if it does then boot up the Windows Installation USB, run diskpart, shrink it at least 40GB then create a partition, Leave it unallocated then install Windows there.

Also try to re-seat all other components such as Memory, Video card etc...
