Windows 10: Failure to install a specific app

Hello,


So there is this app called PS4 Remote Play that i used to use a lot on my laptop but at one point, it started having problems connecting to my ps4 so i uninstalled the application from my computer. I then downloaded the app and when you try to install the app, it wont install at all and freezes. I go to task manager and it says "Windows installer.Status: Suspended". I can download and install any other app but its this specific one that wont install. Please help.

"Application Install install package failure!" while installing 13.9

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and MSI 6970 Lightning.

I was upgrading from 13.4 after I did a clean uninstall with AMD Catalyst Install Manager.

Doesn't say what installation failed in the install log. Everything in the log says Success but at the very bottom it says "Application Install: install package failure!" but doesn't say what failed to install.

I only install video drivers and no CCC.

The only thing I noticed is AMD Catalyst Install Manager is not listed in my programs list.

 

Apps not installing on Windows 10

Method 1.

At first, I suggest you to check if any Windows update is pending. (If yes, install all the Windows update).

  Type update on the Windows search bar and select Check for updates.
  
• Now click on Check for updates button, it will automatically detect the Windows update if pending.
  

Method 2.

I suggest you to run Windows app troubleshooter, this tool can automatically identify and fix some problems with apps and the Store. Visit the below link to run app troubleshooter.

Also, I suggest to update the Windows store manually.

  Open Windows store, click on your account on top right corner.
  
• Select Download & updates and click on Check for Updates.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
