Windows 10: Failure to perform a PC Reset

I am attempting to reset my PC so that the only thing on it is Windows but when I tried to reset it I received an error message and the reset fails. I ran a ScanNow in CMD and received the following message "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." I attempted to figure out what was wrong in the CBS.log and here are some of the corrupted files that were found or failed. 2022-06-09 22:30:33, Info CSI 000001dd [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:11]'DismApi.dll' of Microsoft-Windows-Deployment-Image-Servicing-Management-API, version 1

Unable to reset the pc

If you are having that message while trying to reset your computer, We suggest you to create an installation media for Windows 10 using Media
Creation Tool and perform a Reset.

Once the installation media is created, follow the steps below:

• Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer.
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. From there, you can use Safe Mode. Select
  Advanced Options >Reset This PC>Remove everything.
• After the reset is complete, check for status.

PC reset failure

Hi Adam, it depends on your BIOS, it is different on all PC's, ultimately, you need to get the installation media to the top of the Boot order list, try the steps listed above, they should get you there . ..

 

Windows 10 reset failures. Computer won't boot now and getting frustrated.

• Press Windows key
• Hold Shift key then click Restart
• You'll be prompted to the Advance Startup Options
• Select Troubleshoot
• Advanced options
• Startup repair
