Windows 10: Fake mail

Received a mail from: Microsoft Store <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***> is this mail from Microsoft!?

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!

Hi,

To resolve your issue, you can follow the steps below:

• 
  Open the Windows Mail application.
  
• 
  Try to create a new mail.
  
• 
  In the address bar, enter the letter of the
  recipient whose address you want to remove. It should roll down the addresses based from the input letter.
  
• 
  Right-click on
  the address from the drop-down that you wish to remove. It will bring up a box at the top, click Open Contact.
  
• 
  You will be redirected to the People app with the address you selected highlighted.
  
• 
  On the top right of the app, click on Save button and store it with an existing contact.
  
  • To disable auto fill email ID suggestions, it is suggested to assign it to a fake account that does not possess an email address.
  • 
    To add, click + icon on the left fringe
    and enter any name. It is your choice to
    enter the wrong email. Click Save. It will be saved to your People contacts.
    
  • 
    Go back to your contacts and right-click on the created contact. Select Delete.
    
• 
  Restart your computer to see the changes.
