    Fake virus e-mail

I keep getting multiple e-mails saying a virus has been detected and asking me to click on a link to fix. I have not clicked on any links, but have done a security scan and says no issues detected. Please help me stop these e-mails. Getting 10-15 e-mails daily

If you Google even M$ suggest it can be faked. Am always wary clicking on links in e-mails. Updated using Settings revealed was already on latest version.

  3. Netsky-P E-mail worm still at the top of virus charts.

In 2004, the Netsky-P worm was rated the worst of the worst in a research test by Sophos. Sophos did their annual tests, and they found that Netsky-P is still the most popular E-mail worm. It accounts for 19.9% of all virus infections reported, follwed by Mytob-AS at 15.8% of all reported threats and Bangle-Zip at 8%. E-mail viruses used to be very popular. In August 2005, 1 in every 50 E-mails was likely to have a virus. E-mail viruses are not as popular anymore, with only 1 in 278 E-mails carrying a virus. These days, Trojans are much more popular, being roughly 71.8% of all attacks this year. Sophos senior security consultant Carole Theriault says "It is certainly frustrating that such easily beaten threats are still plaguing our e-mail highways". Industry observers don't think that viruses should be judged by the amount of infections they cause, and that they should be judged by their financial impact instead.
