Windows 10: Fake WLM IMAP login message

    Fake WLM IMAP login message


    When I log into my IMAP mail account on WLM, I get a pesky message that I must close out before I can view my mail. The message is an obvious hack, but I don't know how to get rid of it. I can probably remove it if I knew where to find it in the Registry, but I don't know where to start. I am attaching a pic of the message. Please advise.

    I can no longer get my Gmail IMAP account on WLM ? What to do ?

    Font pixelated in WLM message list


    I've got an issue that is not earth shattering but is driving me nuts. I've used Windows Live Mail for years. Attached are 2 screenshots of my WLM message list-the first is WLM in Windows 8.1, the second is WLM in Windows 10. As you can see the font for "read" messages in Windows 10 appears quite dim and pixelated whereas in 8.1 it looks fine. Back in the Windows 7 days the appearance of "read" messages was easily controlled by changing font/color under "disabled items" but with all the restrictions in Windows 10 I can no longer find that option. Can anyone tell me how I can get WLM in 10 to look like 8.1? I've poked around in the registry comparing everything but nothing I've changed makes any difference. Has anyone got any ideas?

    Skype instant messages (WLM is dead, MS account merged)

    Thank you! I logged us both out on every device and logged back in using our original id's, sadly that didn't work. Nobody appears online in the hub on WP8. I was able IM her via Outlook.com though.



    My im's via Outlook appear under my Skype name on her PC. I can see the test messages across the board, except for WP8.



    A reinstall of Skype on WP8 would no effect on the messaging hub I suspect.
