    Fall Creators Update - issue with hardware temp monitoring programs


    After installing the Fall Creator's Update both HWMonitor and Speccy were reporting very high motherboard temps of 118c, 244f. Obviously this info was incorrect as it was 23c in the bios. Downloaded the newest version of HWiNFO64 and it reports it correctly at 23c. Seems some of these hardware monitor programs have to be updated to be compatible with Fall Creators Update.

    Surface Pro 4 2017 external hdmi monitor no longer works after fall creators update

    Having problem to use an external monitor with my minidisplayport hdmi adapter after fall creators update. Samsung monitor shows a garbage solution of 1440x980 altough screen solution on surface shows standard hdmi solution in settings for external monitor,
    other external monitors dispay nothing. Latest available firmware upgrade for surface from oct for fall creators build is installed. After rollback to previous installed windows version, everything works fine again. Now every windows update forces me to install
    fall creators update again - any help? Need external monotor hdmi support for business reasons....

    I think if an update will solve the issue it would have to be a major update, one that forces hardware re-detection such as the Fall Creators Update.
