    False no internet detection after updating to Windows 11 a year ago


    I own a Lenovo C740 15ML, purchased this computer in 2021. After updating to Windows 11, the computer has false “no internet, secured” whenever connecting to WIFI networks. Tried network resets and everything.     Internet Explorer 11; Windows 10....Stopped Working

    IE11; Windows 10. For the past 2 weeks when I open IE11 I get Internet Explorer has Stopped working POPUP message rendering IE 11 unusable.

    I have followed suggested Fixes by "Resetting" IE11; Use Software Rendering...is NOT checked. I have tried to use "System Restore" and go back to a Restore Point prior to 2 weeks but, I get unable to restore to xx/xx/xxxx because the process cannot file iexplorer.exe.

    I have tried several Restore Points...get this same result.

    I cannot fine the Internet 11 Install Update to delete it as it is not in the list History\Installed Updates.

    Surely there must be away to fix IE 11...I have run out of things to do...suggestions with steps will be appreciated.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Adobe flash player and check if that helps. For Microsoft Edge, I suggest you to check if the Flash player services are turned on.

    Also try clearing the history from Internet Explorer:

    View and delete your browsing history in Internet Explorer - Microsoft Support

    If you think that the recent update has caused the issue, I would suggest you to check if you are able to delete the downloaded update by following the below steps:


    • Open Settings

    • Click on Update and security >Windows updates

    • Click Advanced options

    • Click View your updates History

      Click uninstall updates on the top, the page installed updates would open and you can uninstall updates easily by right clicking the specific update.

    • I still am using Internet Explorer 11.
    • My OS is Windows 10 Pro
    During the last few days when I click on the Outlook.com Inbox or any email to open it I receive this message:
