Windows 10: Family Calendar on desktop

Hi!


I have a family and family calendar set up. The Family Calendar is available when using outlook live online. It comes up under "Groups > Your Family".


However, it has disappeared from the Calendar App and Outlook app in Windows 10 on the desktop. I tried to add a new calendar, but am unable to work out how to add it.


How do I get it back?

Family Calendar: when will it be editable on the desktop?

MS, why in the world would you set up the shared family calendar so that it is not editable or you cannot make additions from the desktop. Additionally, categories for family calendar entries on the phone don't appear but they do on the desktop but they
are greyed out so they can't be used.

If you're referring to a shared family calendar, we do have this option available when you log in to your
Outlook.com account. The steps on how to create a shared family calendar using Microsoft family can be found on this

Adding outlook family calendar to outlook 365

If the calendars are stored on an Outlook.com account, then you first have to share them on Outlook.com with all family members. This process emails an Exchange server-based link -- but NOT an ICS file -- to each family member's Outlook 365 program.

Once you open that link from within Outlook 365, close and reopen the program. The calendar should now appear in the list of calendars on the left side of the screen.

But, remember, there's a big difference between sharing calendars between 2 people's Outlooks on their own PCs, without a central Exchange server involved -- and sharing calendars on Outlook.com or another Exchange server, and using Outlook as the client to download from the server & work with it. If you're wanting the first technique, then that's a different discussion altogether. Please advise, and good luck (from a former Shropshire lad).
