Windows 10: Family friend cannot log into his Lenovo Laptop due to mis-typing his email address.

Hi all,Hope you are safe and well!A family friend of mine unfortunately locked himself out of his personal laptop last week and cannot get past the login stages when you first boot up your computer or laptop.Prior to this, he was prompted to create a pin by windows/Microsoft.He was then prompted to put an email address in. He accidentally miskeyed his email causing us to lose access to his laptop.Browsing the web, all I can see is that you would have to reset the said device. We do not want to do this.Is there an alternative or can someone from Microsoft support assist/or point me in the right

As per your suggestions I understand that your IP address might have blocked.

Do let us know the type of the email address you are using (live.com/ outlook.com/ Hotmail.com)?

Also, is this issue specific to the particular recipient?

I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to log-in to the online account, try to send an email to the recipient and check.

Step 2: Try to log-in to the web browser, perform step 1 and check.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to contact the ESP/ ISP service provide and check if that helps.

What you asked to do was not display your email account on your login screen. You don't need to go into your registry.
It is simple, you mis-read the info on the link. All you have to do is turn off ONE setting on your sign-in-options. I'll try and make it real simple.

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.
