Windows 10: Family safety account logged child account out now saying Microsoft account does not exist,...

My son was linked and logged in on his windows account on his PC and pet of the family safety group and app. Suddenly yesterday his account left the family group now we can’t link it back and is stating Microsoft account does not exist and when try to set up states already has Microsoft account. He receives the accept invitation link but cannot get him re-added using the same account - bizarre!Please help as we cannot get into his PC as it’s locked on his family settings but now can’t get in as won’t add him back.

I would suggest you try to Verify the child account's status.

Double-check if the child account is still active and has not been removed or deleted. If the child account has been deleted or disabled, it will not appear in the parent account's settings.

To verify the status of a child account and ensure it is still active, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the parent account: Use the credentials of the parent account associated with the child account and log in to the platform or service.

2. Navigate to the account settings: Once logged in, locate the account settings or profile page within the platform or service. This is usually accessible through a dropdown menu or a dedicated settings icon.

3. Look for family or child account management: In the account settings, search for options related to family or child account management. This could be labeled as "Family Safety," "Parental Controls," "Family Settings," or something similar, depending on the platform.

4. Access child account settings: Within the family or child account management section, you should see a list of linked child accounts associated with the parent account. If the child account is visible, it indicates that it is active.

Microsoft Account Family Safety Problem. Cannot add child. Child Account is orphanned.

I am trying to add my child's account my account. When I do I get this error.

"We couldn't add L:
s...@....net to your family, because this account is already part of another family. Before you can add this account to your family, a parent from the other family will have to go to Microsoft Family Safety and remove the account."

When I log onto my child's account, I see one sibling and one parent.

When I log onto that parent account, then I see no children.

When I log onto my account, I cannot add the child.

Xbox support does show the child Gamer Tag (and LiveId) as a child under my Gamer Tag (and LiveID).

The database that Xbox uses for parent/child must not be the same database as used for Family Safety because they are showing different relations.
