Windows 10: Family safety monitor stopped working

We have several user accounts setup on each of our machines including some child accounts. We have noticed for the last 3 days that when logging into our child accounts that the little family safety icon that normally resides in the system tray in bottom right has been missing in action. A quick check in reliability history reports that 'family safety monitor' stopped working everytime we logged into a child acc consistently for three days solid. As this is happening on all our machines I presume it's not a local issue but an MS server side issue. I just wondered if anyone else uses child accounts and are noticing the same?

Everytime the computer is turned on, a popup shows that says "your device activity is reported to a family member".

Original Title - family monitoring

I am using family safety feature of windows 10. It works to monitor computer activity of my son from his ASUS windows 10 computer. However, everytime the computer is turned on, a popup shows that says "your device activity is reported to a family member".
Is there a way to stop this popup and still continue monitoring his computer?

Several cumulative updates later and still NOT working, pretty useless microsoft

 

Is nobody else seeing this? All our machines are doing the same thing since Thursday, making me think the MS server for this has gone wonky.
