    Family Tree maker will not open


    My FTM 2010 program will not open, it says "file is corrupted", it has been working OK for about 8 years.

    If I Uninstall FTM, then re-install FTM prog, will I lose my 4000 plus names & details? 35 years of work.

    Family Tree Maker 2012 can't open FTW files created in Family Tree Maker 2006

    Hi,

    This is a Family Tree Maker issue, not a Windows 10 issue.

    See if this article helps:

    AncestrySupport
    (The article suggests that FTM2012 should be able to open files from FTM06

    Exporting/importing a GED file might work.

    Try searching at

    Family Tree Maker will not open on second loading.

    Family Tree Maker 2012 was loaded into W 10 and worked fine. For other reasons, it was deleted from the computer and one month later was re-loaded as before. The screen icon shows, and opening circle shows as if it is about to open, but the software does not open.
    Any ideas?

    Can't open Family Tree Maker 10 or newly downloaded Family Tree Maker 2014.1 with Windows 10

    None of the solutions mentioned on your website helps me with not being able to open Family Tree Maker 10 or newly downloaded Family Tree Maker 2014.1 with Windows 10. Do I just need to go back to Windows 8 and scrap the useless Windows 10?
