Now some programs such as Firefox or even a basic screen saver will cause all the fans to ramp up and the system starts to chug really hard. Again, this machine is brand new, has good air flow and no vents or ports are blocked. I have turned off file indexing as some people have stated some issues, but no luck. No overclocking has been done, no bios changes made, I would roll back windows to the previous version but I

  3. Typing Lag after recent update

The issue might be driver-related. Check if there is an update that might have been missed after the recent update. To do this, follow the instructions below:

    • Type Device Manager from the taskbar search box.
    • Go to Keyboards.
    • Double click on your keyboard device. A mini window will appear.
    • Go to the Driver tab and check if there is an update that needs to be installed.

You can also try to use the other USB ports and see if there will be any difference.

Let us know if you still encounter this lagging issue after trying the suggestions.

How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2 Win Update

I wish things are that simple. My error code was 0x80246017, and I don't have KB5020435 installed so it's a dead end. BTW, MS lists like 6 or 7 error codes of the format 0x8024xxxx on the "troubleshooting WU problems", and when you chose next step, it suggests generic steps: run WU troubleshooter, check if your disk has no errors, is your remote disk is accessible, etc. Same as MS community; each similar error has completely different cause and (re)solution.
MS in notorious for this- if it works then OK, if it doesn't then good luck.
