Windows 10: Fantom GForce 3 Drive & wireless keyboard

I just purchased this Fantom GForce 3 External HD to use as my backup drive. It is plugged into the Blue USB port on the back of my desktop and also into power source. When I turned it on, I could no longer use my wireless keyboard. I changed batteries, to no avail. Turned off power to the Fantom and I'm using the keyboard now. What could cause this?

Thanks much for replying, Megahertz. I have the particular drive listed in my post's subject line: Gforce/3 10 TB. I think that's the full info on which Fantom unit it is. Any ideas about what's going on with it? Thanks again.

Thanks for your new reply, Megahertz. The Gforce/3 has all the capabilities you listed. I have it connected to my laptop via eSATA. I think my question is generic, however, and would apply to any external hard drive. - I'm perplexed that there's the message the drive hasn't "migrated," and online I see people very concerned that this should be fixed. But Device Manager says it's operating properly, and it's been working fine for me. What I'm hoping to find out is if I need to worry about this migration issue, and that the Safely Remove icon isn't available since the computer doesn't "officially" see the drive. Or should I just move on and keep using it as-is?

Any ideas?
