    Far too much junk with my current hotmail username, I need to change accounts


    I have been a Hotmail user for at least 25 years. Unfortunately I cannot keep up with the barrage of junk mail no matter how often I block senders, report them as phishing or scams, more keeps coming in. I have a desktop windows 11 PC and 1 surface laptop 15 inch which I think is a great machine. It has come to the point where I need to change my accounts associated with Microsoft, just because I no longer have the time or energy to keep up with the 100+ junk emails I received daily both in my inbox and my junk folder. How do I link my 1 Microsoft account, 2 Office 365 and 3 My 2 wi

    I am trying to send an email using my hotmail account but it keeps coming back with unable to send due to incorrect username or password.

    Are you logged in with the Microsoft account or a local account?

    You can follow the steps below to change the username and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X key.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Under view, select large icons.
    • Go to User Account.
    • Click on Manage another account.
    • Select the User Account for which you want to select the password.
    • Click on Change the username.
    • Click on Change Name button.
