  1. Fast change between 60 and 144hz

I have a 144hz monitor, and for some games I have to cap the fps to 60 (yes, the monitor, not with AMD Radeon, don't ask) is there a .bat file or something I can create to cap it to 60 to play and then another to change it to 144 after playing? Thanks!

  3. 144Hz + 60 Hz dual setup.

    Hi,

Since a couple of weeks i'm facing a problem with my dual screen setup. When i'm playing a game on 144Hz and something as a YouTube video, Spotify player (Moving Song covers) or my OBS Streamlabs (Streaming on NVENC) is on my 60 Hz screen my game automatically
caps tot 144Hz or does not play as smooth as i do not use my secondairy screen.

In my opinion, my build does have recources enough to handle this as i did it before with less powerfull CPU (R5 2600).

    My build:

    Gaming 3 Gigabyte B350 AM4 - Motherboard

    4x4 GB Crucial 2666Mhz - memory

    R7 3700X - CPU

    Samsung 970 Evo 500GB NVMe - SSD 1

    RTX 2070 Winforce Gigabyte

    Seasonic Platinum 750 Watt

    Samsung 840 Evo (Secondairy SSD).

Hopefully, you guys or Microsoft do know a solution for this, because it's limiting myself from streaming games on 144Hz.

Please get in contact if you'd like to know more.

Fast change between 60 and 144hz

No display signal in Windows at 144hz

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are using a monitor that supports 144Hz, however you getting black screen after the sign in page.

As per the information provided by you, I have checked that the monitor supports 144Hz. However, the Sapphire RX 570 graphics card that you are using supports only up to 120Hz using the display ports. Please refer the graphic card
    specification by clicking on
    Sapphire RX 570
    .

I suggest you to set the refresh rate for the monitor at 120Hz and check the result.

Follow these steps to change the refresh rate of the monitor.

    1. Press Windows key + I.
      This will open Settings.
    2. Click on System.
    3. Click on Display.
    4. Click on Advanced display settings.
    5. Click on Display adapter properties for Samsung monitor.
    6. Click on Monitor tab.
    7. Under Monitor Settings, use the drop-down menu to select the refresh rate and change it to 120Hz.
    8. Click on Apply button.
    9. Click on OK button.

    Hope it helps.
