Windows 10: fast forward on any platform is not constant, it pauses at times instead.

It has been about a month when I noticed that on Amazon Prime I can fast forward twice with not issues by the 3rd time it will pause instead. In other words, FF 2X = FF, and then FF the next 2 X will pause instead. I thought this to be an Amazon new thing, new setting, but having now 2 other platforms and it is doing the same thing made me realize that perhaps my settings somewhere maybe in browser have made it this way. Note that it i s always 2X OK and 2X pause hence it cannot have anything to do with buffering. Unless of course it is a weird coincidence that it happens to be always 2X.W

6280 - Fast forwarding 3GP movies

Is there any way to fast forward through a 3GP movie? If I convert a DVD to 3GP for viewing on the phone, when playing on the phone I only seem to be able to start, pause and stop. There doesn't seem to be any way of skipping through the movie. Very annoying!
ANy suggestions? Will there be a software upgrade?

 

Why is there no fast forward slider?

I don't know about 'all phones', but 'fast forwarding' within a song is not a feature within the Music player that comes stock with WP8.

Fast forward in Media Player on a phone with a trackball

I don't think you'll be able to program the trackball to fast forward through songs, but you can assign a key on the keyboard to fast forward, as follows:

• Open up Windows Media Player on the phone
• Tap Menu > Options > Buttons tab
• Scroll down to the Fast Forward option and press the key you'd like to designate for this.
