  1. Fast User Switching disappeared after 14 August 2024 update

Since 14 August 2024, following the 2024-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5041585, the option for fast switching between users has disappeared from the Start menu. Instead, the option is hidden beneath several layers of options which confused my wife no end. Why did this change and how do I reenable? I have checked online, and followed the advice to disable the HideFastUserSwitching key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\SystemThe above registry change had no effect.

    :)

    Fast User Switching disappeared

I have two users on my Windows 10 Home

I used to be able to switch users very quickly, by either using the start menu, control-alt-delete, or ALT-F4 because there would be a "Switch Users" selection that puts me back into the login screen. And in the login screen, the two account icons would
show up in the bottom left corner. I've used this feature nearly every day for the past year.

A day ago, this fast user switch feature has disappeared on me. The "Switch User" option no longer appears in any of the login screens. I can only switch users now by completely signing out of my current login, and then the two accounts would show up again
    on the login screen.

I've looked at past suggestions, like GPEDIT.msc which doesn't show up on my run command, updating, uninstalling updates, virus checking, checking for corruption, looking at regedit... nothing seems to bring this back.

This was an extremely useful workflow feature for me, can someone tell me how to bring this back?

    4. Now, go to the following location and look for Local Computer Policy in the left pane.

    5. Click on Local Computer Policy/Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Logon.
