  1. Faulty monitor Or PC issue?

Hello there, while watching YouTube my monitor turned black and now is flickering/glitching with top part being the least effected, changing from displayport to hdmi doesn't fix it, it's glitching while in bios and task manager, so was wondering if it is faulty monitor or something around my pc. Monitor is Asus Tuf Gaming vg249q1a and I have it for 13 months now. Display drivers, Amd software and Windows are all up to date with no option to roll back display drivers. Any tip or help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. Dell XPS 15.6 Monitor issues

    Hi,

Monitors may not work as expected if the driver is not up-to-date. With this said, we suggest that you check if you have the latest drivers installed. In addition, we would like to ask some questions that may help us to isolate the issue.

    • Does the external monitor work with your laptop before?
    • Have you tried to connect the external monitor to your desktop?
    • When did the issue start?
    • Were there any changes made to your computer prior to the issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
We're looking forward to your response.

    'Generic PnP monitor' issue

    Hello Angelica,

I would suggest you follow steps to update the monitor driver:

    Press Windows + X keys

    Choose Device manager

    Click on Monitors

Right click on ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and click on update driver

Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

When you are done please restart the computer.

    Faulty monitor Or PC issue?

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
